FREE RAP WORKSHOP WEEK WITH MATONDO CASTLO

Summer break is just around the corner and we have another great and free program for you:

Do you like rap and hip hop music and fancy a week’s intensive workshop with a real pro? In the rap workshop with Matondo Castlo, we will explore together how rap came about and how this style of music is unfortunately often misused today. That’s why we want to go back to the roots and use rap as a creative, artistic, meaningful and also educationally valuable tool against hate of any kind.

We play, discuss, research and, of course, rap. But how do you write a text? What do you need to bear in mind? And how do you rap your lyrics to a beat? All these questions will be answered in the rap workshop.
In the best case scenario, you will create your own song after the vacation rap workshop!

No previous knowledge is required! We look forward to seeing you!

Matondo is a freelance artist. He is active as an educator, street worker, presenter, actor, musician, hip-hop lecturer and founder of “Alles für die Jugend”. He combines his work with children and young people with his passion for hip-hop and tries to overcome the boundaries between the street and art in order to build bridges. Matondo offers workshops for children and young people in schools, youth facilities, universities and prisons throughout Germany and around the world. In his rap workshops, he shows children and young people non-violent ways of communicating and creating. These are exciting new ways for them to give voice to their feelings, goals and dreams – just as he himself found an outlet and a form of expression in rap as a teenager.

The event is aimed at everyone aged 8 to 14 and is free of charge!
No previous knowledge is required.

AFRO FUSION DANCE WORKSHOP WITH KING DAVINCI

A week of Afro Fusion Dance with King Davici straight from Nigeria! He will introduce you to Naija Fusion and other modern African dance cultures and has years of experience. Since the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2022 in Johannesburg, it’s hard to imagine the freestyle dance scene without him.

In 4 hours per day, you will receive practical training as well as theoretical background knowledge and enough space to learn more about his dance culture

Open to all levels – including beginners
The offer is aimed at everyone aged 14 to 27 and is free of charge
