Cultural Bridge:
“Uncomfortable Dialogues” Artist Residency

As part of the Cultural Bridge initiative, a fund with the aim of promoting artistic partnerships between Germany and the UK, the ‘Uncomfortable Dialogues’ project took place in August 2024. 
The project was organised in collaboration with Miss Lulu Creates (UK) and MINCE e.V.

‘Uncomfortable Dialogues’ brought together the dancers Sarhaly from Germany and Chaquille from the UK in an artistic residency in London. With our support, the artists addressed important conversations within the Black community, mainly through the perspectives of dance.
In this way, they exchanged views on social challenges in both countries in an artistic way.

The exciting project was accompanied by the videographer Monkey Flip Media, who documented the creative process in this short film.
