CDC Festival, known throughout Europe for its authenticity, original concept and unique atmosphere, took place again in 2022 from May 25 to 29 in Berlin. The festival included 19 dance workshops, a show contest and a culture clash dance battle with international guest dancers. In addition, there was a conference and a complementary exhibition with the theme “Routes and Roots of the African Diaspora”. A special highlight: The performance of the world’s first Dancehall musical “From Den Til Now” for the first time as an afrodiasporic adaptation in Europe. The festival was accompanied by self-reflection and empowerment sessions.
