After the great success of “Alkebu-Lan” in 2021 with over 600 participants, we again ensured a stronger visibility of the African, Afrodiasporic, Afro-German and Black community in the Berlin cityscape in 2022. The summer festival in the “Weißen Siedlung” took place repeatedly on the Dammweg campus and featured live performances by Black musicians and DJs, as well as dance and poetry performances. The activities for children at “Alkebu-Lan” were especially popular, including drumming workshops, crafts, and scavenger hunts.
