The dance theater piece “AkzepTanz” was created in collaboration between the German-Ghanaian artist ensemble M.I.K. Family and the Iconic House of St Laurent and premiered in December 2021. The piece focuses primarily on acceptance and empowerment. On one hand the piece is about addressing the ideals of the Western world and the (in)acceptance of bodies of any shape, skin color, size or gender identity. On the other hand it is about the acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ scene within the

afrodiasporic dance scene.
